- Mandarin 2 - by base-o-holic - Mandarin 2 - by base-o-holic
EDIT: I'm sorry about that big disclaimer on the image, but blame the people who don't bother to read the description... :/
_____

Pageant season is here and since I already saw some MDE entries made with the previous set (yay!), I thought I could make a few more poses :D.

Reference: lots of photos from the fabulous :iconsenshistock: - she'd love it if you stop by and leave her a link to your doll!

ABOUT THE DISCLAIMER ON THE IMAGE:

While I do realize that those bases could be used as drawing reference, they were not meant to - their anatomy is stylized and not 100% accurate. Moreover, they were referenced from the stock photos of the amazing *SenshiStock - using the originals (photos) instead of the by-product (bases) for drawing reference is a much better choice! :)
(If you're looking for the exact poses I referenced, you can find them here.)

I know its not a tutorial, but its nice to be able to see things in simplified forms, without hair lighting and perspective distorting everything.

It is very nice and I may use it alongside my photos and anatomy diagrams when I get too drawing some more human characters.

I totally understand what you mean with the disclaimer, sometimes it's difficult for me to ref. photos and it's easier to ref something that's more black-and-white so I wanna ask if you mean we are not allowed to reference this or if much of the reason for the disclaimer is so that nobody can be upset over it being so stylized and make a complaint regarding how it's not realistic. (I had this problem when I sketched canine heads as something quick and sketchy to illustrate the generalized differences between dog breeds and I got chewed out because the sketches weren't photo realistic ._. )

That disclaimer is more of advice to use proper references, but you are free to do what you want with it :).
